Pilates
Therapeutic Pilates is a movement-based physical therapy approach that helps improve core strength, posture, balance, flexibility, and body awareness. It can support recovery from orthopedic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic tension, and movement limitations through individualized, whole-body care.
Therapeutic Pilates is a personalized treatment approach that uses Pilates-based movement to improve strength, control, flexibility, alignment, and coordination. In physical therapy, it is adapted to your body and goals to support better movement patterns, reduce strain, and build a stronger foundation for daily activity, exercise, and recovery.
This approach may be helpful for back pain, neck pain, hip pain, pelvic pain, postural dysfunction, core weakness, balance issues, and movement problems related to orthopedic or pelvic floor conditions. Therapeutic Pilates can also support people with chronic pain or recurring tension by improving body awareness, breathing coordination, stability, and overall movement efficiency.
Sessions may include mat-based exercises, guided breathing, core and pelvic control, posture training, mobility work, and functional strengthening tailored to your needs. Therapeutic Pilates is often combined with manual therapy, pelvic floor therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support long-term strength and resilience.
