Nerve Manipulation
Nerve manipulation is a gentle, hands-on treatment that helps assess and improve the mobility and balance of the nervous system. It may help reduce pain, ease tension, and improve movement for orthopedic pain, pelvic dysfunction, nerve irritation, and chronic symptoms.
Nerve manipulation is a manual therapy approach that focuses on how nerves move, glide, and function within the body. When nerves and the surrounding tissues lose mobility or become irritated, it can contribute to pain, tingling, numbness, tension, weakness, or restricted movement in other areas of the body.
This treatment may be helpful for neck pain, back pain, sciatica, jaw tension, headaches, arm or leg symptoms, pelvic pain, post-surgical restriction, and persistent orthopedic or pelvic floor issues influenced by neural tension or irritation. Because the nervous system is closely connected to muscles, fascia, joints, and visceral structures, nerve manipulation is often used as part of a whole-body physical therapy approach rather than as an isolated technique.
Sessions use gentle, specific hands-on treatment to assess and support the mobility, adaptability, and comfort of the nervous system within surrounding tissues. Nerve manipulation may be combined with manual therapy, myofascial release, pelvic floor therapy, corrective exercise, and movement retraining to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support more comfortable function over time.
